The video is poor quality and runs for about 8 sec and jitter when looping. The sound is too low and also of poor quality. Get the other free version which is much better. The popup nagging you to buy the pro version is very annoying. Crappy app and poorly executed.

There is no visible way to get the "upgrade to pro" prompt to go away? There are no instructions to let you know exactly what to do, and having the prompt stay around when you happen to move your mouse anywhere on the app is really not worth the effort of downloading it. Unless they improve it with a place to click away the prompt, Im not even interested in shelling out for the pro version. They lost a potential paying customer this way.

This has good visual and sound quality. If you cant figure out how to make the menu go away, just dont move mouse. It will disapear.

At first I was annoyed with the big pop up in the center of the fire, but then, as someone else noted, you just have to be patient and itll go away after a few seconds. The loop is a *tad* jumpy but not a big deal. I like it! Its cute! Definitely worth it being free!

Yeah, this is not executed all that great... if its mean as bait to entice you to upgrade to Pro, then why just describe what Pro is and be done with it. The video looks amateur (not at all high quality, bad lighting), its on a really fast 4-second loop with no attempt made at dissolving between, and its got a giant ugly popup. This is a revenue generator, this is not a "Half-decent App" that makes you want to buy the Pro version... I would pass. In fact, I did, uninstalled not long after downloading. :)

Even though this is free they should have done a better job if they want you to pay to upgrade. It is ok since it is free, but it wouldnt have taken that much more effort to make it better.

this is an alright app youre pretty much getting what you expect minus a little. Plus side - full screen, nice fire?, sound, Bad side - crappy 5 second loop of a fire that is pretty noticeably a video loop after you watch it for 30 seconds. good to leave on in the background though i guess, to all those people who are complaining about the popup in the middle - MOVE THE MOUSE TO THE SIDE OF THE SCREEN AND DONT TOUCH ANY BUTTONS AND ITLL GO AWAY. obviously if you keep your mouse over a menu it will stay there - youre using a computer to download this arent you?

As a demo, this doesnt really show me why I should buy the full version, so the full version could be a lot better, but this one just seems downscaled and not really that loopable.

Big huge pop up stuck in the middle of the screen and behind it a terrible blurry video of a fire! Stupid developer should be ashamed of this terrible TRASH!!!! You are idiots.. Get the hell of the app store with this RUBBISH!!

Sorry I took the time to download it. The menu stays up all the time trying to get you to buy the full pay version.

It makes the room look suddenly calmer. I really like it. I swear, one time it made the room feel actually warm, and the real fireplace wasnt on! :)

...and after I erase and reinstall my OS, am going to download it too... but this is fine for now. Makes a nifty screen saver. Oh and yes there is a pop-up on this version.... its free... thats how developers make a little cash. Its called MARKETING. The pop-up goes away, and all is well.

The fireplace is blocked by a Pop-up, and the video itself isnt even HD. I dont ever leave reviews, but this one deserved it.

This thing didnt warm up my home at all. Maybe it needs an upgrade. I hope they fix this thing. Maybe that stupid popup is blocking the heat?

Simple little fireplace, but the nagware pop-up pops up when the mouse is moved while the app has focus. Cant use the full screen mode in the background. Runs nicely when another app is on top.

I didnt read the 1 star reviews, but can only guess there must have been some sort of initial problem (athough, this is v1.0) - works just as I expected it to; hey, its a video (with sound) of a roaring fire. Beats the heck out of trying to remember if you closed the damper or not!

This app is very bad, bad resolution, bad sound, and it is not very bright. It is always trying to tell me to upgrade.

i downloaded the other fireplace app it is so much better. You can full screen the fireplace without having to "upgrade" to pro it is so dumb why put out a free version then?

GET fireplace it is free and in the #1 slot for a REASON. I dont mind buying apps that are a good price. This Has a BIG BUY PRO NOW. Never.

HAS A BIG "BUY PRO" POP UP AFTER YOU RUN IT ONCE. RESOLUTION IS POOR AS WELL. DONT DOWNLOAD.
